The time is now...

ok so we are less than 24 hours away from knowing whether akhil can win india its first ever boxing medal...
i am way tooo nervous to write, think, analyze, predict but i am saying this... the guy has a heart of a lion and urge all to pray for his success....
I told him today i am behind him win or lose... he replied to me saying he has "three" more bouts to go.... COME ON.... Lets bring this one home...
The momentum he will generate will bring our other two boxers in with flying colors i have no doubt... so i am expecting at least 3 medals....

Hi Manisha,
I have been tracking Mittal champions trust for a while now. You deserve a big credit for your contribution to Indian sports. I am sad it is going unnoticed. You are an invisible hand. Your sincere work by identifying some real good talent through the Trust goes a long way in India getting any recognition. I was always disappointed that Indian industrialists had stopped contributing significantly to social causes since the times of Jamshedji Tata / GD Birla. I am still a strong critic of LKM for his extravagant lifesytle and limited social contribution compared to Bill Gates, Buffett and others in the super duper rich league.
More work needs to be done. Virdhawal, Saina and Mangal deserve a lot of support for London 2012. May God be with you so that you can be with them.
Btw, the website is not current and consistent. Can you ask someone to look into it?
We need to get many other rich Indians to contribute through this model. We should make some effort through the media. Can we try?

manisha,
Thanxs for bloging everything that you and mittal trust went through in the last year and a half.I read your whole 2007 archive.it was interesting to read the comments section where people said nobody is going to win any medals this time and all the pessimistic views that were expressed. It was interesting to read your and Mittal trust journey against all these. Also your posts on patiala shooting competition etc gave a lot of insight into abhinav.Iam surprised not many people know about your blog.Let me send some traffic your way.

Congrats and keep up your good work.

Thanks Manisha for your response. I just saw Akhil losing out. Sad but not dejected. The other two can still make it happen.
As far as the website goes, I can access it. But the issue was with inconsistent data between pages. Shall write later.
Got to rush to office. Happen to be in that part of the world where life begins at 6 PM IST.
